The One With "Suuuunnnnooooooggggg!!

It was a normal monday morning..
Had breakfast..
Checked my celfon for some messages.
Played with jero and aya.
Looked at the sky.
It had this thick black air..
"sunog somewhere" i thought to myself. It was getting thicker and darker.
I immediately ran to wake my sleeping dad. "pa.. may sunog.. lapit lang gd di"
We ran outside to get all the water we could get.. and realized that it was ptr. presto's house. just three houses away from us..
che che dialed the fire departmen't no. screamed.. "manong dasigaaa!!.. daku daku na gd kalayo!!... dasiga!!!!"..
My heartbeat ran fast. Not thinking straight anymore. Ng queenie shouting and crying while carrying aya.
Dad started our 2 cars and parked it away to the scene.
2nd neighbor's house down to dust and ashes.
People screaming. I ran and tried to help save some of the fourth neighbor's stuff inside their house. Picked out their photo and framed albums. Because they're not heavy but yet very important.
The fire caught 3rd neighbor's house.
The smoke and fire kept getting bigger. I ran to save my important documents, albums, some clothes and threw them inside our car. I was thinking of saving this pc but then it might be too heavy then i grabbed some more clothes, bags, even a bottle of lotion with all the panic..
You just don't know what to pick. Then i heard siren. Relieved. People still trying to save 4th neighbor's stuff. Our house is next. Still didn't know what to do. People came flooding in. Half of them helped.. and the other half just stared and "maki-oshyoso".. and.. some bad ones.. laughed and took some pictures. 10 other fire trucks came. News men were everywhere. From radio to tv. didnt realize i wasnt wearing any slippers the whole time.
it was just like in movies.
come to hink of it..It was not all about tragedy and loss.. it just melts your heart to see strangers and neighbors just helping out to kill the fire. and transfer some stuff. it was like this huge bridge of communication.. connecting all the gaps. so that's one thing to be thankful for.
and all other million things to be thankful.
thou shalt not be boastful for you won't really know how it's all going to end.
THANK YOU GOD!
