The One With Marley and ME (book review)

Let me just say that I just slept with my wet pillowcase under my head last night.

I love the book. I love Marley. I wish I have my own Marley.

I knew the book was going to make me cry, coz I read a lot of comments on the net.

And there were a few drops of tears on the first 20 chapters.not until I reached the last 4 chapters that I just bawled like a baby.

I was even sniffing and groaning at some point. (daw buangit na ku gne.. haha)

I do not consider myself a dog-lover but Marley did touch my life.

I promise I’d give myself a lab retriever someday if I can afford to buy one.

Scenes I loved the most that I’d want to see in the movie.

1. Marley swallowing the pregnancy test strip and Him and Jenny dancing afterwards.
2. the Ireland bed scenes. Ahaha.. though short lang gd.
3. The struggle of the birth of Connor.
4. the airport scene going to Pennsylvania Marley and the two frogs and five crickets in their luggage.
5. the Dog Beach scene
6. Marley and John last hiking trip where Marley can’t no longer climb the hill.
7. All the things said in the lsat four chapters.

And many more.

It was Sob-Fest ‘08

I wanna buy a dog and join the Bad Dog Club.

Can’t wait so see the film and see if it will make me cry too.

Well, I knew the book would be good coz it stayed more then a year on the bestseller's list.

On the first page and they all have its reviews. One review said:

“if you know a person who haven’t cried in a book yet. Give him this one”

Yah. I wish I could lend my book to all of you. To make Marley a part of your life too.

Marley may not be Old Yeller or Lassie but sure as hell he touched me more than those good dogs did, Or any good humans did.
