it's been quite a long time since I've written something sensible here.
so I'll try my very best to do one now.
Well, it could be very subjective since the things that interests me could not be sensible to all of you.
anyways, i want to talk about something about my past.
coz we were talking about this.. over dinner.. this little incident i had when i was little.
I distinctly remember, I was in my second grade at Doane Baptist Academy.
It was a sunny morning.
i was at our car inside the campus worried that i might be late for school.
then i saw the grade 1 students lining up for the flag ceremony, giving me the hint that i'm not late after all, my heart skipped and beat "hurrah"!
i frantically ran to find my classmates and insert in the line.
i didn't see the fast car approaching to hit me.
mostly on my right lower extremity.
next thing i knew i was on the ground.
i saw my father and my brother throw a couple of punches at the driver.
my brother's white nursing uniform was full of blood.
they carried me and sent me to the nearest hospital.
St. Paul's i guess.
i couldn't remember the pain but i can still recall crying everyday for 2 weeks everytime they changed the dressing on my wounds.
3 on my left ankle, 2 on my knees, and a large one on my elbow.
i still have the scar.
i was somehow glad coz i was absent for 2 whole weeks!
and received a lot of presents.
and loved the treatment everybody gave me.
fast-forward after two weeks..
my father was driving to pick me up at my school.
Our Principal stopped him at the gate and decided to join him in the car.
He said that large men were waiting for him nearby ready to beat the hell out of my dad.
because of the previous hittings they did to the driver.
so they immediately went to the Police station.
My dad said that he just did what every father would do if they see their little kids lying on the ground with blood all over.
they got everything straightened out.
And so.
couple of months ago.
i went to Doane to watch some musicale or something.
then outside i saw this rather old pastor who asked me..
"ikaw to ang bata nga nabungguan sang una"?
(Were you the kid eho was hit by a car?)
he must've been quite fascinated by the fact that my legs grew longer than the usual.
