Overtime.

Some lost their limbs secondary to vehicular accidents. Some were born without it. But majority lost theirs due to complications of diabetes. Eitherway, each has a story to tell. And this why I love my job! I get to learn from my patients twice as much as they perceive that they're learning from us.

I assisted our Physician evaluate 28 patients from Capiz who in one way or another, lost an extremity. Tested their muscle strength, prescribed necessary orthosis, adjustments on their assistive devices and the likes.

This superman dude below made himself a prosthesis made out of three different type of wood. It even had its own achilles tendon made out of rubber. And without a healthy stump to support the whole leg, mind blowingly, it works! When he has his shoes on, it looks like he's just walking with a minor limp. You could never tell he's missing a missing a limb.

This little macho man is a totally different case. He never had hands and feet since, ever.

He demonstrated how he put his little jacket on, play in his phone, eat with a fork, drink from a cup, tie his shoes amongst other things. Words from our mouths and expressions on our faces all screamed wow! Best part it, he's doing it with so much grace.

Of course, one event must have a photo op.
