World peace through inner peace.

It is my first time to be a part of someting like this. The venue is just a few hundred meters away from our house. I didn't even know that that wide vacant lot can hold something as spectacular as this. For the first time in forever, nagka heavy traffic sa Jibao-an. (Super heavy that we just decided to walk a good 5 kilometers beacuse walking by foot was the fastest available transportation at that time.) It was even my first time seeing a crowd that big. 60, 000 candles were lit and that made it to the list if Guinness world record as the most number of candles to form an image, or something to that extent. The crowd were more than 1 million I think. lol Seeing all those people flock to our tiny little place made my heart jumped a bit.

It was an amazing experince. Just seeing those lights stretching out for as far as the eye can see, brought me to a world where peace actually exists. The air was cold but they still kept on burning, I am easily amused

I wasn't able to capture any good pictures so I borrowed these online. πŸ’œ

The bigger torches spelled put these words and the image of my beloved Philippines. πŸ’•

Most of the images I got from Mayor Patrick Jed Mabilog's facebook page.

Used hashtags on instagram and twitter were. #lightofpeace #worldpeacethroughinnerpeace #lighofpeaceiloilo if you want to see more pictures and videos.

I don't who to thank for bringing this literally to our doorsteps for most of us to witness. It really must've taken a lot of courage to spread peace to organize the whole thing. It was one of those nights my eyes and heart will never forget. I was one of the 100, 000. πŸ’•

I don't know who to thank for all of this, but thank you. We, the Ilonggos really mean it.

🎡Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones.

P.s. I took home with me two torches from the event.
