A day in the life.

I woke up and prayed.

I wasn't late at work, so that's always a good thing. I had four patients in the morning, satisfied patients I suppose. One of which is an 85 year old woman who had undergone a partial hip replacement. That's quite an easy case to treat, but the hard part was that she had this severe case of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She was a retired school principal so she was murmuring and shouting incomprehensible english words. At one point she was shouting, "Help! They're trying to take me away! In the heavens where my foot is ugly! No don't cut my foot! In my arms! Scratch my arms!" The doctor prescribed sleep inducing drugs, she fell asleep the whole afternoon.

Our resident mother Physiatrist gave us free lunch today courtesy of Mang Inasal. Food always tastes better when you don't have to pay a single cent for it.

I had one patient in the afternoon. By seven, we were on our way to another patient's house for free dinner! Aaahhh! The things we do for food! I filled my my plate with food amd ate them all until my stomach felt hard and I couldn't breathe.

It was quite raining when I left. Hence the scarcity of jeepneys around. To cut the story short, I ended climbing up to the roof of a green San Miguel jeep. It was fun! It was cold! And it was a pretty good reason to write an entry tonight.

Didn't tell my mom because she might freak out.
Okay already did and yes, she freaked out.

Happy mother's day to all!
